Valentine's Day celebrations have become too big

Christine Dial, a University of Georgia student from Atlanta, said that Valentine’s Day is overdone.
“The stereotype is exaggerated,” said Dial during an interview on Monday. “The huge display of affection in movies over does it.”
Dial said that Hollywood is to blame for the elaborate celebrations men and women have come to expect.
The holiday is fun to celebrate, according to Dial, but simplicity is best. She said that her ideal Valentine’s Day would include going to dinner and a box of chocolates, which she hopes to receive from her boyfriend this year.
Last year, Dial went to dinner and a movie with friends.
“Doing something with a good group of girls is okay,” said Dial. “It’s fun!”
